A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a first-class EA to support a CFO in a business and personal capacity for a high growth global company based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. This is a true right hand EA role acting as the CFO main point of contact for all internal and external stakeholders and being their gatekeeper. The candidate must be based in Amsterdam already.


Key duties for the EA

  • Owning the CFO's diary, travel and correspondence, managing competing priorities across multiple time zones with discretion and composure.
  • Coordinating board level meetings and calls spanning multiple geographies, preparing agendas, materials and presentations.
  • Acting as a key point of contact between the CFO and internal and external stakeholders, including Advent International and the wider Finance leadership team.
  • Supporting the wider finance team, fostering strong working relationships across the function internationally.
  • Managing complex international travel arrangements, itineraries and visas across multiple time zones.
  • Handling confidential and sensitive information with absolute discretion, exercising sound judgement in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • Supporting the CFO through the practical demands of the finance transformation programme, including tracking key milestones and deadlines.
  • Preparing expense reports and supporting budget administration for the CFO's office.
  • Operating across multiple time zones and stakeholder groups, managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment where ambiguity exists.

The Ideal EA 

  • Significant experience supporting C-suite executives, with previous experience directly supporting a CFO or senior finance leader essential.
  • Experience gained within an FMCG business is desirable.
  • Experience operating within a private equity backed environment, or supporting a business through a major transformation programme, is highly advantageous.
  • Proven track record managing complex international travel and coordinating diaries across multiple time zones.
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Exceptional organisational skills, with a proactive and resourceful approach.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast paced and sometimes ambiguous environment, adapting quickly as priorities shift.
  • Sound judgement and absolute discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels, across different countries and cultures.
  • Resilient and able to respond under pressure.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
