Our client is a well-known art gallery located in the heart of Mayfair, and they are looking for a bright and sparky Office Administrator to join their small creative team. Based out of the gallery 5 days a week, with some flexibility to work from home, this Office Administrator will primarily support with all admin relating to the artwork, including booking in and booking out pieces of art, preparing for exhibitions and art fairs, inputting data to internal management systems and maintaining them, putting together inventory lists and presentations, and reporting artist resale rights. You will need to show flexibility and be capable of dealing with who or what comes through the door, so someone who is confident and who can think on their feet is key. This Office Administrator will be an integral member of the team and should be comfortable with meeting and greeting new and existing clients and discussing the pieces with them when required. You will also have the opportunity to travel to art shows and fairs across the country! The successful Office Administrator will have excellent numeracy and admin skills, impeccable attention to detail and a good work ethic. Direct experience within the art world is not necessary, however this Office Administrator will be expected to have a thorough understanding of the gallery programme, artists, inventory, and prices, so an interest in art would be a bonus!
