We're partnering with a respected, values-led not-for-profit organisation to recruit an experienced Executive Assistant to support their CEO and Executive Leadership Team during a busy period of change. Starting 10th August, you'll benefit from a one-week handover with the current Executive Assistant. The role will run for 3 months and is hybrid, based 2/3 days in their office in Northallerton.

You'll become a trusted right-hand to a dynamic CEO who is new in post, working at the heart of a collaborative leadership team and playing a key role in supporting strategic decision-making. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy juggling priorities and have first-class board-level experience, this is an opportunity not to be missed. Supporting the CEO (70% of the role), you'll also provide support to four Executive Directors and coordinate Board and Committee meetings. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced EA who enjoys working at senior level in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key EA Responsibilities

  • Act as the trusted Executive Assistant to the CEO, managing a busy and ever-changing diary and inbox
  • 70% CEO support, 30% supporting the wider Executive Team/Committee
  • Coordinate complex meetings, ensuring schedules run smoothly
  • Prepare high-quality board and committee papers, agendas and meeting packs
  • Attend Board and Committee meetings, producing accurate minutes and following up on actions
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism
  • Anticipate priorities and proactively support the Executive Team
  • Help ensure the smooth running of the Executive Office during a busy period of organisational change

The Ideal Executive Assistant

  • Previous experience supporting a CEO or Executive Director 
  • Proven board-level experience, including preparing agendas, board packs and taking minutes
  • Highly organised, proactive and calm under pressure, with excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities with ease.
  • Outstanding diary and inbox management skills
  • Excellent organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • The confidence to liaise with senior stakeholders and Board members
  • A proactive, adaptable and positive approach
  • Available Immediately
