We are seeking a highly organized and experienced House Manager / Project Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations and logistics of a private household based in Central London. In addition, this House Manager / Project Manager will be responsible for project managing the construction of a new property in the area. This is a demanding and diverse role that requires exceptional managerial skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively. Our client is looking for a House Manager / Project Manager with proven experience in overseeing the renovation or construction of residential properties. Previous experience as a butler and/or knowledge of the construction industry is highly desirable. Typical House Manager / Project Manager duties will include but not be limited to:

Household Operations:

  • Act as a point of contact and liaison between the employer and household staff
  • Coordinate and oversee daily household activities, ensuring everything runs like clockwork
  • Manage household budgets, inventory, and supply management.
  • Ensure the maintenance and cleanliness of the property, identifying and resolving any issues promptly

Project Management:

  • Oversee the construction of a new property, working closely with contractors and suppliers
  • Assist in maintaining project timelines, budgets, and documentation
  • Monitor construction progress, addressing any challenges or delays that may arise
  • Conduct visits and inspections to ensure timelines are being met
  • Provide out of hours support to address any urgent household or project-related matters
