A forward-thinking NGO dedicated to empowering people with disabilities is seeking a Junior PA Assistant to support their Chief Operating Officer - a lecturer in Forensic Science, published author, and passionate advocate for disability rights.
This is a rare opportunity to work closely with a dynamic and inspiring leader managing a highly varied schedule that includes academic, charity, and legal commitments. The role would particularly suit someone with legal training or experience who is confident handling sensitive and confidential information.
About the Role:
The Junior PA will provide efficient and thoughtful support to the COO, ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day operations and assisting with case management and documentation. Responsibilities will include:
- Managing the COO’s calendar and scheduling appointments
- Handling email correspondence and general administration
- Assisting with legal documentation and maintaining organised records
- Supporting charity-related initiatives and communications
About You:
We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented, and empathetic individual with a genuine interest in the charity and disability rights sectors. The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- Legal training or experience (e.g., paralegal, law student, or legal admin background)
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Confidence using Apple tools (iCloud, Pages, etc.)
- Discretion and the ability to manage sensitive information
- An understanding of dyslexia and flexibility in adapting communication styles
This is a part-time, temp-to-perm opportunity offering flexible hours. The role is primarily remote, with occasional in-person meetings as required.
This is an excellent opportunity for a junior PA seeking to gain hands-on experience in the charity sector while supporting a visionary leader making a tangible difference.
We appreciate every application but are unable to respond individually to everyone due to the high volumes we receive.
